Investor Amp is designed with privacy as a core principle, not an afterthought. This policy explains what data we collect, what we don't collect, and how we operate the service.
What we do not collect
Your assessment answers are processed entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript. They are never transmitted to our servers. We do not collect, store, or process:
- Your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information
- Your assessment answers or results
- Your financial information or portfolio details
- Device fingerprints or persistent user identifiers
- Cookies of any kind
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns — how many people visit the site, which pages are viewed, and at what rates people complete the assessment. Plausible is a privacy-respecting analytics provider that:
- Does not use cookies or local storage for tracking
- Does not collect personally identifiable information
- Does not track individuals across sessions or sites
- Is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR
- Stores only anonymised, aggregate data
The data we collect via Plausible is limited to aggregate metrics such as page view counts, referral sources (by domain, not individual URL), country-level geographic data, and device type (desktop vs mobile). No individual user profile is created or maintained.
Custom analytics events
We track three custom events via Plausible to understand assessment completion rates:
- assessment_started — Fired when a user clicks "Start Assessment"
- assessment_midpoint — Fired when a user completes question 20
- assessment_finished — Fired when a user completes question 40
These events are recorded without any associated user identifier. They cannot be linked to any individual session or device.
Hosting and infrastructure
Investor Amp is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare's infrastructure may process standard server-side request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention purposes, in accordance with Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. These logs are retained and controlled by Cloudflare, not by Investor Amp, and are subject to Cloudflare's data retention practices.
Third-party links
Our site includes links to external services including our Help Centre and Contact portal. These external services operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies before submitting any information through them.
Children
Investor Amp is designed for adult investors. We do not knowingly collect any information from persons under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not use this service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
